Bringing a new baby into your life is one of the most important, amazing, EXHAUSTING times in your life. Whether it’s your first baby, or second, or third, it’s a time full of emotion, love, change- and a time that seems to all become a blur months and years later! The good thing is, photographs have a way of bringing you right back to that moment every time you look at them. Letting you remember that newborn smell, how teeny tiny your babe was, what your older kids were like when baby was born. It all goes by so fast, but being able to freeze this moment in time forever is something you will treasure forever.

Years and years ago hen I first started photographing newborns, I used to PANIC when clients called last minute and said their baby was already a month old and they wanted “newborn” photos. Since newborn photos are best done in the first two weeks, a one month old is a bit older and therefore much more of a challenge to get to sleep like a brand new baby. But the more babies I photograph, the more tricks I learn, and I now have no problem photographing older newborns and getting them posed just like the brand new babies. While I highly recommend booking your newborn shoot BEFORE baby is born, all is not lost if you waited a little too long and now have an older newborn! We can still get you those dreamy, sleepy images 🙂
